NorthCountry Federal Credit Union to Expand into Rutland County
South Burlington, Vermont – Following approval by the National Credit Union Administration, the NorthCountry Federal Credit Union (NorthCountry) Board of Directors passed a motion at its April meeting to expand its service area to include Rutland County in Vermont. This provides people in Rutland County with a new option for banking services.
Along with competitive standard offerings, NorthCountry has created several unique products and programs for niche groups. “We are excited to extend the reach and impact of NorthCountry to Rutland County, including individuals, families, businesses and the non-profit organizations that support the community,” says NorthCountry CEO, Bob Morgan.
In addition to Rutland County, NorthCountry serves counties throughout northern and central Vermont, as well as Clinton County in New York, and Coos and Grafton Counties in New Hampshire. It currently operates from 13 locations, with plans to add an additional branch in 2026. NorthCountry members can also access their accounts through a nationwide shared branch network of over 5,300 locations, and through the credit union’s digital banking services.
NorthCountry Federal Credit Union’s mission is to make dreams come true for all by offering personalized financial solutions. As a cooperative, it is inspired and empowered to do the right thing for its members and employees. It is a not-for-profit financial cooperative, owned entirely by its accountholders. Anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in its field of membership is eligible to join and can do so in person or online.
