Services Agreement
Mobile deposit is designed to allow you to deposit checks (“original checks”) to your accounts from home or other remote locations by scanning the original checks and delivering the digital images and associated deposit information (“images”) to us or our processor with your mobile or desktop device.
Limits. We may establish limits on the dollar amount and/or number of items or deposits from time to time. Exceeding these limits may result in your attempt being rejected. If your deposit exceeds our limits, the terms of this Agreement still apply, and we will not be obligated to allow such a deposit at other times.
Eligible items. The service is only available for checks (drafts drawn on a credit union, savings and loan, or bank, and payable on demand):
- Issued within the United States in U.S. currency
- Payable only to you and/or another party who is a joint owner on the account
Ineligible items: Remote deposit capture is incompatible with savings bonds, travelers checks, money orders, and postal money orders. It also cannot be used to deposit foreign checks or checks that are:
- Altered, fraudulent, or otherwise not authorized by the owner of the account on which the check is drawn
- Drawn on your account
- Made payable to cash
- Stamped with a “non-negotiable” watermark
- Previously negotiated, converted to a substitute check (as defined in Regulation CC), or submitted through this or any other financial institution's remote deposit capture
- Incomplete
Requirements. Each image must provide all information on the front and back of the original check at the time presented to you by the drawer, including, but not limited to, information about the drawer and the paying financial institution that is preprinted on the original check, MICR information, signature(s), any required identification written on the front of the original check and any endorsements applied to the back of the original check. The image quality must meet the standards established by the American National Standards Institute, the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve, and any other regulatory agency, clearing house or association.
