We will be performing a system upgrade from May 31 – June 3. Although debit cards, credit cards, and ATMs will function, some services will be temporarily unavailable. Our goal is to complete our system upgrade with minimal inconvenience to you. If you have questions or concerns, please contact us and we’ll be happy to assist.

The Mission

Two years ago, NorthCountry began exploring new computer systems capable of supporting its continued growth and complexity. Months of extensive research led us to a solution from an innovative and respected leader in banking systems. We look forward to bringing this new system online and implementing the service improvements it offers.

Success! Our mission will be complete by Monday, June 3 at 8am. Within a few hours after that, your account balances will be current, online and mobile banking will be available, and all other services will return to normal.

As a result of the upgrade, you may notice little improvements to your NorthCountry experience in the coming months, such as having multiple transactions printed on one receipt, and seeing “pending” funds in online and mobile banking. Your experience with our web-based loan application will be more attractive and user-friendly as well. The timeline for rolling out these new features will be decided during the next few months. In the meantime, we thank you for your support and understanding as we take this giant leap forward in providing you with a truly world-class experience.

FAQs

What if my loan payment is due during the upgrade?

If you make your full payment within 14 calendar days following your due date, you won’t incur a late fee and your payment will be reported as having been made on time. 

For Visa credit card payments, please make at least the minimum required payment by the due date printed on your statement to avoid being reported as late and being charged a fee.

I normally do my banking on Saturday. If branches are closed and the mobile app is offline, what are my options?

If you can’t make it to a branch before 3pm on Friday, May 31:

  • Checks can be processed at any NorthCountry ATM, or any other deposit-enabled Falcon ATM.
  • Enclose your check in an envelope marked with your name, account number, and instructions, and place it in your branch’s night drop box. We’ll process it when we open on Monday.
  • Use a NorthCountry Visa credit card to carry you through the weekend.

If I buy a car during the system upgrade weekend, can I choose NorthCountry financing through the dealer?

Requests will be processed when we re-open for business Monday morning.
