Online Access

You can access your Visa Info by logging into home banking at www.northcountry.org, click on Platinum Rewards, and you will be directed to your Visa information. From here you can view your credit card transactions and your statements online, print statements and download into Quicken or QuickBooks. It also provides information on who to call with questions, where to send payments, and how to handle fraud and dispute claims. You can also notify us of travel plans to reduce risk of transactions being declined while you aren’t home as well as set email alerts.

Balance Transfers

Transfer the balances from your higher-interest rate credit cards to a NorthCountry Visa, pay down your debt faster, and skip the balance transfer fee.

  • In online banking, scroll down your account list to “Platinum Rewards”
  • Click the “Platinum Rewards” heading to be redirected to your credit card account information
  • Under the “Account Services” tab, select “Balance Transfers”

Make a Payment

You have several payment options.

  • Use the “transfer” feature within online banking to move money from your NorthCountry checking or savings account to your Visa. Your payment will be credited the next business day. *
  • To pay electronically with funds from an account at another financial institution, log into your online banking account, click on Platinum Rewards and you will be directed to your Visa card information. Choose ‘Payments’ to set up your payment preferences.
  • Make a payment at any NorthCountry branch during regular business hours.
  • Mail your payment to: NorthCountry Federal Credit Union, PO Box 64709, Burlington, VT 05406. If you choose to mail your payment, please allow ample time for delivery. NorthCountry is not responsible for late payments due to a delay in the mail.

* Any payment made will be reflected in the Visa balance online by the next full business day.

Statements and More

View your credit card transactions and your statements online and get information on who to call with questions, payment addresses, and how to handle fraud and dispute claims. This can be accessed from within your online banking account. You will need to login and click on Platinum Rewards to be directed to this information.

If you don't currently have an online banking account with NorthCountry, you will need to enroll from our Home Page. To set up your online banking account, enter your account information, assign a Username, Password, and Personal Security Code, and complete a few security controls. Rewards

Shop with your Platinum Visa and earn one reward point for every dollar of your purchase. When you’re ready, redeem your points for rewards including account credits, travel, and gift cards to popular retailers and restaurants. Redeem your Reward points by logging into your online banking account, click Platinum Rewards, and you will be directed to your Rewards information.

Link Accounts

Link multiple accounts to pool points and earn rewards faster! Log into your online banking account, click Visa Platinum, and you will be directed to your Rewards information. Select “Browse Rewards” for more information, or Contact Us.

Gift Reward Points

If you log into your online banking account and click Visa Platinum, you will be directed to your Rewards information. You can request a one-time gift of points to another program participant. Select “Browse Rewards” and find the “Gift Rewards” option. Enter the amount of points you would like to gift, and the points will be transferred to the recipient's account.

Set a PIN

Want to set a PIN for your Visa Platinum credit card? Please call (888) 891-2435. You will need to call from the primary phone number associated with your account.

Card Security

Please keep your information secure, review your monthly statements, destroy old statements, and notify us immediately if you notice anything suspicious regarding your account.

Never divulge your account, credit card information, password, or PIN to anyone who contacts you by phone, text or email. We have your information on file and will never ask you for it. If you ever suspect someone has contacted you with the intent to commit fraud, Contact Us directly to verify whether or not it was us who contacted you.

Best Practices

  • Never share your PIN
  • Never write your PIN down (especially not in a location like a purse or wallet or on the credit card)
  • Never use an easy-to-guess PIN like your birthdate, the last four digits of the card, etc.
  • Ignore texts, emails, or phone calls asking you to share your card or account information. We have that information on file and will not ask you for it
  • Monitor your account regularly. If you notice a problem, Contact Us immediately
  • When making a purchase online, stick to established sites that are familiar to you
  • Never give your card number to someone you don’t know, especially persons calling for fundraisers, offering to fix your computer, etc.

Report as Lost/Stolen

If you don’t recognize a charge reported on your card, Contact Us immediately at one of the phone numbers below. If possible, let us know where your card was lost or stolen and the last authorized transaction on the card.

Text Notification of Potential Fraud

You can register your mobile phone to receive a text notification when our system detects a suspicious purchase. It’s free, fast to activate, and easy to use:

When a suspicious transaction occurs, you will be notified by a text sent to your mobile phone.

Reply to confirm whether or not you recognize the transaction.

If fraud is suspected, your card will be deactivated until we hear from you.

If you approve the transaction, your card will remain available for use.

Verified by Visa

Add an additional layer of security to your online purchases by activating "Verified by Visa" on your account. Some merchants may require this step when completing online transactions.

Zero Liability Protection

Zero Liability Protection applies to your credit card purchases made in a store, over the phone, and online or via a mobile device. As a cardholder, you will not be held responsible for unauthorized transactions if:

  • You have used reasonable care in protecting your card from loss or theft; and
  • You have promptly reported to NorthCountry when your credit card was lost or stolen.

Travel Notifications

Download our free text notifications to your smart phone. You will receive a text if our system detects a suspicious purchase.

Rental Coverage
